Now a days, it is far more useful, far more advanced, far more improved. A person can do anything with a smartphone. From communicating to sharing pictures and videos to banking to payments to video calling to shopping to ordering food to playing games to business to Blogging and many more. The TOs list is neverending. Everything can be done in few minutes.
Electricity. The best invention ever.A Invention Which paved the way for all the inventions that exists today. In today's technological world, nothing can be done without electricity.
All things which the past lacked is improved in the present and still improving.
But, are we people actually happy?

As technology grows,
Selfishness in people is also growing.
Greediness in people is also growing.
Cruelty in people is also growing.
Laziness in people is also growing.
Insanity in people is also growing.
Diseases in people are also growing.
Inhumanity is also growing.
The list of Negatives is longer than the list of positives.
Technology was actually meant for the betterment of the society, which is not actually happening.
The difference technology has made in our life is drastic.
Joint families have turned Nuclear. In the past, joint families existed. People then were far more happier than today's nuclear families.
Satisfaction has turned to greediness. People in the past had only a little as compared to today. But, they were satisfied with what they had. People today have a lot more than required, but, they are greedy. They keep demanding more. If a person owns a Royal Enfield and sees someone riding a Harley, he gets dissatisfied with his Enfield.
Feelings have turned to Emoticons. There is no value for people's feelings.
Relations have become minimal. In the past, people knew each person of the village. Now, people communicate with people around the world but they are not even aware of who is in their neighbourhood.
In the past, relations of people were real and not fake. Its the opposite in the present. Not all relations are fake, but, real relations are lesser in number. People keep relations with other only for their own selfish needs.
Laziness is the worst effect of Technology. People are becoming lazier which is also harmful for their health. In the past, people used to play in playgrounds and nowadays they play in their mobile phones and computers. People used to roam from shop to shop for shopping which is now replaced by online shopping. People used to visit every house to give invitations which now replaced by a simple text message through whatsapp and facebook.
Humanity is another thing that people of this generation lack. A person is being murdered by 5 people on the road in daylight and people around just look at it and walk away. They are so busy in their work that they lose Humanity in them. And, after all these rape cases happening, humanity in people is at the extinction level.Today is the time where people believe in minding their own business than bringing out some humanity in them.
And what to tell about Diseases. As technology grows, it brings a lot of harmful diseases with it. People say that they have invented cures for most of the harmful diseases, but they don't realise that technology is root cause for all those diseases.
People prefer having their lunch in some fast food restaurants rather than having food at home. MAny people of the past has crossed 60 years of age and are still strong enough without any harmful diseases. And people now a days start getting diseases in the age of 30.
Technology indeed has made transportation easier and very fast, but the number of accidents that occur yearly is a shocking number. According to the WHO, around 1.24 million lose their life due to accidents on roads.
Technology is only for the well being of the people. But the people has highly misunderstood the concept. On the whole, Technology is, no doubt, a boon for the world, but only till it is used in a way it was meant to be.
