Something Went Wrong.

Something actually went wrong on the day of interview.
It was a usual day until something unusual happened. I woke up, freshened up myself and left for my college, a 30 mins travel. I reached college, exchanged some abusive words with my friends (which is a proof of my strong bonding with my friends).
Then came an announcement in the speaker regarding a job opportunity for students who had secured more than 7.0 CGPA ( Cumulative Grade Point Average) in the semesters and the list of students eligible to take part in the interview was put on the notice board. This was the opportunity I was looking for. I always had a dream of experiencing a professional lifestyle. Opportunity knocked.
I wasn't sure whether I had secured above 7.0 CGPA. I always checked whether I had passed not worrying about the marks. As soon as the break time started, I raced towards the Notice Board with such excitement. I checked every notice board that came in the way (Only then I came to know about how many Notice Boards my college actually had). There had never been so much students around a notice board. On seeing that, my friend had a very valid point to say. He said, Notice Boards are visited only once in a year during the placement season.
I rushed to the notice board and sneaked to the front and searched for my name in the list. When I saw my name in the eligible list, I was so excited and in the excitement I jumped and almost broke my friend's nose. I got more excited when i saw that my grades were around 7.4 CGPA which I never expected. My friends, who were not selected showered punches on me, for I was selected. The scheduled date for the interview was exactly after 7 days.
I prepared my resume and all certificates were ready with all mark sheets in place. I was all set for the interview. In all the excitement, I totally forgot that I hadn't shaved from the past 1 month and I had a thick beard.
Then came the day of interview. I got up early, freshened up, got blessings and left for college. All the way to college, I felt something wrong but couldn't find out what. I reached college. I reached the place where I was asked to. First round was an Aptitude Test, which I cleared with ease. Soon, shortlisted names were announced for the 2nd round. 2nd round was an interview round. I was excited. Before the interview, I wanted to ensure that I am well dressed. I went to the mirror and then I realised what was bothering me. I forgot to shave. Excitement turned into fear. Hopes washed away. Morale down.
With a depressed look, I went to the interview and nothing went right. As soon as I finished the interview, I left the premises because I knew that I have missed the opportunity. As expected, I was not shortlisted.
I promised myself about being double sure so as not to miss an opportunity and not giving an opportunity or people to ask me, #WillYouShave
