Elections 2013

Elections 2013 has begun. The fight for the crown has been started. People everywhere are hoping for a change over.
Everyone expecting BJP candidates to win, and thus finally, Modi to win the 2014 Prime Minister elections.
Till now, elections in 5 states have taken place and the results were what was expected.

1.Rajasthan- BJP's candidate, Vasundhra Raje registered a staggering win against the, now ruling congress.

BJP won 162 out of the total 199 seats in Rajasthan, totally what was expected. When compared to the election the previous time, BJP won a extra 84 seats while Congress managed 74 seats lesser than the previous time. Vasundhra credited her win  to BJP's Prime Minister candidate, Narendra Modi.

2.Delhi- As everyone expected, BJP got the majority of votes but could not form the government because it could not get the minimum required. Against everyone's expectation that Congress would stay second in the polls, Arvind Kejriwals AAP broomed out the congress by getting 28 seats in its debut.  AAP had a great debut in the elections. AAP has rejected to join hands with BJP, helping it to form the government.

3.Madhya Pradesh- BJP retained MP with 165 setas followed by congress which could get only 58 setas being way behing BJP and BSP getting just 4 seats.

4.Chhattisgarh- BJP also reatined Chhattisgarh with getting 49 of the total 90 seats with Congress again being in the second place with 39 seats.

5.Mizoram- However, people chose Congress in Mizoram, thus helping it retain. It was like a sigh of relief for the Congress , even though only a little.

Results till now has shown a dominant role of BJP, particularly Modi, in the elections. With growing prices of food products and high inflation, people has decided to bring in a change to their rulers in a hope that they will reduce their problems.
